Focus on the front entry of the house and show just a little of one side to create better depth.  Leave some margins on both sides of the house to allow us space to crop it slightly. Show less foreground and more sky.

If your house faces east, take the photo in the morning. If your house faces west take the photo in the afternoon. If your house faces south, take the photo mid-day. If your house faces north, take the photo on a partly cloudy day.

Make sure there are no vehicles in the driveway, no trash containers on the curb and no realtor signs in the yard.
